Meet the Team
Western Renewable Energy's team currently consists of six directly employed members of staff with qualifications and experience in hydro power design, engineering, project management, administration, customer serivce, construction, installation and maintenance.
Chris Elliott MEng
Chris’s experience of demanding hydro-electric installations brings excellent skills to the team. At the forefront of the recent resurgence of low head hydro development in the UK, his company Western Renewable Energy has built a reputation for action.
Jeremy Allen BEng
Jeremy has many years experience working in an engineering consultancy role. This is complimented with practical, hands-on experience of domestic building work and traditional waterwheel repair.
Jessica Green BEng
Jessica has extensive experience of mechanical design in the energy and other sectors, gained during a career with a number of large designers and consultancies. As well as complimentary experience in GIS, Jessica brings a passion for renewable energy to the company.
Yvette Elliott BA
Yvette's experience as chair of a large voluntary organisation, as well as trustee roles in the third sector, has brought a keen interest in social responsibility to the team. As co-ordinator she acts as the nerve centre of the project delivery side of the business.
Luke Fursdon
With four years experience of installing hydro schemes, both on domestic and commercial scale Luke brings a great deal of practical knowledge to the team, with CSCS training and CPCS tickets backing up these skills.
Pete Bluett
With construction industry experience, CSCS and CPCS tickets and two years of experience of hydro installations, Pete brings strong practical skills to our growing on-site workforce.
